The Start Of 2019

We finished off 2018 almost completing the living room. We got our tree up one week before Christmas. I couldn’t wait to get the decorations up as this is our first proper Christmas in our house. Last year we didn’t have furniture, heating or a cooker to cook our Christmas dinner. So I was really looking forward to this year.

We made such a difference and totally changed our colour scheme. I came I to this house with grey and cool tones in mind but the more the year went on I felt like more a warmer tone. We decided to go with brown colours and finally took the plunge to started. We made a big change and went with laminate flooring as well I promised myself I would never go with laminate but the thought of the dogs ever having an upset stomach on a really expensive carpet changed my mind. We then got curtains and a new rug, things were coming together.

Christmas came and gone within a flash. The girls got spoiled as usual with loads of toys and treats. They even enjoyed a Christmas dinner. We spent the day just relaxing and not having to rush anywhere.

We had a family gathering on Boxing Day. I could say it is family tradition that we always done a family party on Boxing Day but it was never the same because we all got older and grandparents are no longer with us. Instead of my mum and dad hosting a party I thought it was a great idea for me to do it and everyone could get a chance to see our new living room. We all had a great time.

We had a quiet New Year and just enjoyed our own company. I spent the day looking back at everything that has happened in 2018 and what I was looking forward to in 2019. One of the things I want to try is to upload more and I know I keep saying it but it is really hard as it is not my full-time job. As you all know I am a nurse and that is my priority. It is a hard job and on days off I feel like I just need to switch off and relax. I am hoping that this year I can plan and organise my content better so I can upload more.

I would like to thank everyone who has been supportive with my content and understands that I only post every now and then. Let’s see what 2019 brings us.
